Rest Cemetery (Old Milltown) Records

Located at the comer of Hoover and Bradford Streets in Sayre, Pa.

The following is made up of two lists, first; by CW. Northrup in Mar. 1935 for D.A.R. Secondly by Cindy Rajala, former Athens, Pa.museum director in 1991. Since there are so many stones missing now, I used a combination of both fists and some research to make this list. Also in the old Athens Gleaner newspapers, when the Tioga Point Cemetery was opened in 1860, some people were moved by family members from Rest to there. Some records for Tioga Point burned in the 1920's so it is unsure who was moved and when. Cemetery read by me on Nov. 14, 2002. If you find someone you are interested in, you will need to recheck with the local cemeteries. Eloise Frantz Wilson
