Wilbur Hotel

The Wilbur Hotel is located on the corner of Desmond and West Packer Avenue in Sayre. The hotel construction began with Robert Packer of the Lehigh Rail Road in 1880. The hotel was completed in 1884 after Packer’s death. By 1932, the old tired hotel was acquired by a Sayre resident by the name of Robert Adam. Adam transformed a derelict property into one of the largest and beautiful hotels in all of Bradford County, Pennsylvania. The Wilbur Hotel remained in the hands of Robert Adam until 1952, when it was sold.

After years of neglect, the hotel was shut down, and in 2021 TREHAB acquired the property. They transformed the exterior of the Wilbur House back to its former glory. The interior was refurbished to have store fronts on the main level and apartments on the above floors.
